Motif Question...
« on: July 21, 2008, 12:32:42 AM »
Oh to god be the glory!

I was thinking about purchasing a motif, since so many people speak so highly of them. I'm glad that people are willing to help explain the pros & cons of different equipment so we have an idea of what we're getting into!

But my question to you wonderful men and women of God is, how exactly on the Motif, do you operate the transpose button?

God bless! 8)

I'm sorry...Just remember, it's not your fault. You didn't know. I take full responsibility.

Yeah its in the Utility section
One time I was asked to play at my Aunt's church.  They had a musician there and he was playing his keyboard so I was playing mine.  He had some odd tuning and I had to tune my middle A to 447.  I was going to ask him about it after the service but he got outta doge.  He didn't say a word to me.

its in the utility section

u hit the utility button and then hit SF2(keyboard) then you see the transpose button

look at the picture attached to this post.

u wanna look for the utility button, but it depends on what motif u have, 61,76, or 88 key

p.s. dont rely on the tranpose button learn your music in all keys so that if you go to a gig that has a keyboard you are not used to, you dont have to worry because u can play in all keys. just my two cents

Instead of making another thread to ask a question I'll ask here. I'm thinking of getting one as a Christmas present for myself (MO8) the XS8 is tooooooooo expensive, how easy is it to sequence? I use my boards to do a lot sketch word for music production and need to know if it's easier than the motif8.

Stop hating bro.. >:( :D

How come these people hide their transpose feature so far away--it's very intimidating to get to it..they should learn from my favorite brand: Arturia --there are 2 buttons dedicated to this feature alone:

One time I was asked to play at my Aunt's church.  They had a musician there and he was playing his keyboard so I was playing mine.  He had some odd tuning and I had to tune my middle A to 447.  I was going to ask him about it after the service but he got outta doge.  He didn't say a word to me.

bold part: I'm sure only rspindy & Mr Tolbert (& very few others) would understand this..(including C$$..heheheh)
glowing:  Shame on him!! >:( >:( ::) >:(
