Slap bass video
« on: October 20, 2004, 10:24:18 PM »
Hey everyone it's Big Daddy Bass

I was wondering if you guy could give me some links to some video clips showing how to slap on the bass. I sort of got it, sound comes out but not the way I want it too. So I basically need to see how it should be done. I got a Shabach Night concert on the 31! And I'm playing some Fred Hammond, Vickie Winans, and some John P. Kee songs. And the songs I'm playing require some slapping. I don't want it to sound nasty or anything.  And if you guys are in the Miami area, you should definitly come. It will be at Emmanuel Baptist Church 7321 NE 2nd Ave, October 31, 7 p.m. till whenever the spirit stops moving. However, please help a brother out!! God Bless!

The wierdest things are happening today. I'm currently fasting till my concert this Sunday Night and I 've been asking God to help learn how to slap. And I'm a computer whiz and I couldn't find any video clips. Now they are popping all over the place.

Here is another one I found which could be helpful for any begginer.

well Praise the Lord... fasting is a good thing to help you prepare for your concert.  I believe Jesus with you that his perfect will be done, that things flow as he will.

I found one a week or so ago.... really cool technique ... when i find it again ... i'll post it

Keep the links coming :-)

Welcome to the community NewBass.  Several members have posted links and tips on the Bass Guitar board.  I suggest looking at some of those posts.
