1. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. My pastor wants to speak with the young man who's our keyboardist presently and see where his heart is.

2. We don't film stuff during service.  ;D

Musallio, who's the choir from 1996?  Who is holding the sign?

Hey Berbie, sorry 4 the confusion:

that's just my primary school pic, when I was in grade 5.

I'm in the top LH corner (not that you can see me clearly coz i've reduced the pic here).
the guy holding the board is called...**doldrums** Elvis :D :D I met him that year & the name amused me :D

Glad you made it through bruh. You definitely have to adjust in many different situations as a musician.

God knows I do every Sunday.1st and 4th Sundays I play organ with a guitar and drum player. 2nd on the organ with a drummer, 5th on organ with drummer and keyboardist, and 3rd on keyboard with a drummer.

As you see, I don't have a bass player but even if he play the basic notes I promise you, I make him/her and the rest of the band sound good cause you have to adopt and most of the time QUICKLY! I played with one 2 nights at the conference last week and man did it make my life easier but without him, I am still good cause I know my basslines for every song and that's what you and others here may need to do. Just because you have a bass player you still need to learn those basslines in case they don't show up. For me, if they show up...great! If not, I am still good. Bad drummer, whatever, still can wotk it.
MERCY EN!!

I can do relatively fine without a bassist. However i cannot STAND a bad drummer. On Friday our drummer was late so the other keys player tried to play drums. Man it was horrible, kept throwing the choir and me off so i told him to just scratch that nonsense and we will manage until the drummer gets here.

All other instruments can be missing, but the drummer is so important. At least to me anyway.

Nah, they told me t stand right at the back so I could keep an eye on any1 who wasn't standing up straight..lol

thanks for the generous comment.

Fenbox:

I think I am so much more versatile with a drummer..but half the time one has to rely on the keyboard drums-so I practice with those rhythms..
It's just crucial to know which one to pic with each song, then you have to know the tempo--can be nightmarish..
I guess that's why some gus just play the same Country/ Fast Gospel / Pasodble drum at 136bpm for each & every song ::) But i really hate that because most songs lose their identitiy when played like that, as nice as they may sound...

When I grow up, I want to be like Dominick.

Well yeah in my own practice time i use my boards standard beats and all that stuff. They just get really boring after a while. A real drummer can throw in some extra stuff.
