Are you talking about Stanley Randolph?? He played Giant Steps by John Coltrane also he played Spain by Chick Corea. I have to possible choices but I don't know if they are what you looking for. Here they go. ?/?

I would definitely have to agree with ya BBD....Stanley R. should be on the next Gospel Chops for real....Aye yo FLatfifth put Stanley on the next Gospel Chops...Line up for consideration...Chris COleman, Stanley Randolf, Styx from Ohio, Aaron Spears, Billy or Kevin Powell again, and a few others (need suggestions)...Stay Blessed, Nate J.

...I totally agree.  I loved the first and second clips.  I think that that's a different type of jam session.  The way it should be.  It has musical context and the guys are actually listening to each other "and" the music.  You can actually hear the dynamics in what they're doing.  Very nice.  I likes.

  @ Natejam.  I would add Kevin Hayden, III (Third), and Jonathan Davis to that shed.  That is not your normal every Friday/Saturday in your face chops shed.  Shoot, I would even add George "Spanky" McCurdy to the line up along with Marcus Finnie but that's it.

I watched the first clip. I skipped the 2nd. (Gonna go back). I'm watching the third now. That dude whose kit was on the floor (not on the stage) in that first clip, is THAT Stanley? Both guys were nice, but something about his playing kept calling me away from what I was doing. That boy is ridiculous!!  :o  :o

Where are these guys from? So I can know not to ever go play drums in that city!!!!!!

P.S. Serious about wanting to know where they're from. . . just kidding about the reason...  ;D

The first and second clip are the best ive seen.  I havent viewed the third yet.  What type of rudiments do most cats base their snare licks around? The the cat nearest to the camera on the second clip had some that i thought were nice like around 2:59 and 3:47.

Stanley Randolph.....I've been wanting more of this guy since I first heard him. This guy is most definitely underrated among his peers. He's an extremely aware, tasteful, mature, musical, fluent drummer. He's fastly becoming one of my modern favs. Last I researched, he was doing some touring with Stevie Wonder. If anyone has anything with this guy on it that they can get to me, please do so. The other guy in the second clip name is Chris Pat....i think. I think both he and Stanley plays on one or more of Kevin Davidson and the Voices projects. I also think that they're from Tennessee to answer the other poster's question.
