Still listening through the Timmons, but the way he lets his notes blossom into feedback, the dynamics, and all that, just proves your amp is an equally important piece in your style as your guitar is.

Let me rephrase that--the way you control your amp is equally important as the guitar itself.

That man's a monster.

I just started listening the the Howe clip - is that Sunny? Sweet...

yeah...that's "Gone"...correct?? Check out "Cry for you"..."farmer Sez"...."Super 70's"....can probably find them on youtube. there is one of farmer Sez where the faster the crow claps, the faster the band plays the song, it's hilairious.

glad you guys are enjoying the Timmons vids....he's been at the top of my list for quite a while. there's plenty of youtube vids of him, so there should be enough to keep you busy. I also think his cd's are on iTunes....i have 3 of them.

he lives here in Dallas...had a chance to see him a couple of months ago and some fam stuff came up....was very bitter, lol.

Ah... I feel you. I still can't get my dad to tell me why bluegrass gets a "free pass" in his theology, yet everything else is evil lol (well, I make it sound more harsh than it is...)

IMO, the best part about Andy Timmons are his rhythm chops. Just some of the layers he puts on during in his recordings are remarkable.

This guy (Brian Kahanek) is probably my fav guitar player ever.
