As a rule, the root is the left hand note, but not always.  So as a rule, I would.  I was in error. So many times if I play that inversion of Bb, I will include a second F.  I just didn't note all the possibilities.  I now see. I am afraid that sometimes I am playing chords and I really don't know what they are.
