to me whether you call yourself a beat maker or producer is irrevelant what matters is your music and most of the time those guys that sell beats for real low low prices are in one of two categories
1)they are trash and would never think to sell their beats for anything more (a 8 bar loop does not make a beat) or
2) they are trying to get noticed and dont really have any professional contacts and so they figure if they sell there music low more people will potentiality want to buy from them and then they will get heard by more people and then they can get the break they are looking for. I feel like the second category of people are necessary sometimes you may have a excellent singer or rapper or whatever and they might not have 10k to drop on a beat so those 100-200 dollar beats are exactly what they need. Me personally that is why i picked up the keyboard so i can get a better understanding of what i am doing when i create a beat I feel like the more I know the more I can advance my craft and it has already been showing some results(even though i am still a rookie by far) but everyone doesn't have that conviction and as long as there is a dollar to be made they gonna make it
