I love a man in a hat. Makes an average-looking guy look hot!

OAN: how come people don't seem to teach boys and young men to remove their hats indoors anymore?? I can't stand to see a man wearing a hat indoors, especially not at the dinner table or at church. I had dinner with a friend a few weeks ago, and I had to wrack my brain to come up with a non-bossy way to ask him to remove his hat. SMH.

love wearing hats. yes, this bugs me as well. when boys came to the house to see my girls and kept a hat on, i asked them "boy, your head cold?" my not so subtle question seem to work. probably help i have a deep baritone voice.  ;D

I rock one of these with either a long black leather or a grey /black / white sport jacket (front of brim rolled down, though)

or one of these in dark brown with a brown car coat or a brown sport jacket

......and YES I take them OFF when inside, especially at church or my kids' school.

I also have a brown leather derby that I wear on rare occasions with a brown leather coat.

I hate when men where hats in church I think it's so disrespectful, and we have a bad problem with musicians in Louisville keeping them on. When you say something to them they look at you like you're the devil or something, when you can tell they would love to cuss you out right there in the church.

I must admit though, that I have a serious problem with keeping my hat on in resturaunts. I don't know why but I don't even think about taking it off, it never even crosses my mind. also anywhere else I am other than church or a courtroom (cause they make you take 'em off) my hat stays on all day including work. lol Pray for me

And Malthumb I have a hat just like that second one you posted mines is a wally world special though lol I have to keep different styles of black, gray, navy, and brown hats it's a must those are my colors for everything I don't care what season it is.

Does it make a difference if they are at a church concert performing? Should they still have to take off their hat? I've seen quite a bit of this lately.

I must admit though, that I have a serious problem with keeping my hat on in restaurants. I don't know why but I don't even think about taking it off, it never even crosses my mind. also anywhere else I am other than church or a courtroom (cause they make you take 'em off) my hat stays on all day including work. lol Pray for me

When we were out to dinner, it bugged me so much... I was embarrassed and slightly perturbed. Finally, I got my window of opportunity when he started telling me a story, and I said: I can't even see your eyes, dear... can you push your hat back so I can see your face? And he took it off, as I had hoped. *WIN*  :D :D

Taking a hat off indoors should be automatic. The only place where I would think it might be okay is in a mall/store or in a sports arena or something like that. Otherwise, it should just come off automatically. *shrug*

You gotta do better, son!  >:( :D :D :D :D

To me it doesn't make a difference, but I do realize that times are changing, so... really, this just comes down to social norms and norms do change, so...

I think it with the whole resturaunt thing it's just pure defiance on my part smh and hopefully I can do better LOL

If you're in church it needs to come off PERIOD in my opinion. I prefer even if you're at a service not held in church but it's a church service the hat comes off (except for an outside concert) but even if I'm singing in the outside concert mines comes off btjm. I mean that really grinds my gears only time I see a slight exception is for a rehearsal and I'm still kinda touchy then but there's usually no one in my group rehearsals but group members.

SN: on the whole name change I was totally lost even after the response to a larue story like Layla wrote it. I'm slow cause it had me puzzled for a sec LOL I shoulda known when she said you gotta do better son, that's right up her alley smh

This One roccs hats for the most part.  Starting to look into the more "dapper" style, just to see how it flows.  I'm guilty, sometimes, as well for the restaurant scenario.  I just don't think about it, unless I'm hot.
