HHX 21" Groove Ride

Wassup fam i was wondering does anyone here on the forum own the HHX Groove ride 21" (natural finish). Im looking for a ride cymbal with defined stick definition,warm tone, nothing too washy at all and a strong raw bell. I would be using this particular ride mostly in church. So I would to love some feed back on some of the experts on here. Thanks!

The Groove Ride is an awesome ride cymbal. Here's the thing....No 2 will sound alike. I have one and one of my friends from high school has one as well. His has alot more wash than mine. You gotta try them out until you find the sound that fits you.

check out the zildjian k custom ride i just got mines last week everytime i play on it i get butterflys!!!

Do you have the natural finish or brilliant, because I plan on gettin the natural finish.

My guy just bought that ride and he loves it.  I think cdrums116 has one too.

Both of the ones I mentioned are natural finish. Be picky with the gear you buy. It's your R&R (right and responsibility).

...sounds like you want to "not purchase" a Groove Ride.  What you're looking for is a Brilliant or Traditional Finish 21" HH Raw Bell Dry Ride.  That's basically what you described above in you post.  I suggest purchasing the "Brilliant Finish" one. 

...I use the Traditional Finish one at church but would've loved the Brilliant.  Good luck and be blessed.

Thanks I'll look into that. I jus love the sounds that traditional finish rides give.

oh yeah if i didnt get that k custom ride was stuck between that hh raw bell ride and the leopard ride (and the k custom ride) those 2 by sabian sound amazing i didnt like the tiny bell on the leopard ride tho

Groove Rides are sweet, I wish the would come out with a Crash I think it would be a good idea..
