Think about the gear they were using back then!!!nowdays it's all about extended range basses, and hi-fi amps, the Acoustic 360 and the later 370 systems were really the best you could get at that time, but they sounded real good, and still do today,i used to own a 370 bass system, and it was fantastic!!trouble was it wasn't too loud when you stood in front of it,but 15 feet away it was very loud!due to the folded horn type of enclosure the Cerwin Vega speaker was in,the point i'm getting at is,we all seem to get wrapped up in the "must have best gear"syndrome, but for me anyway, simple and straight is best,i do have 5 and 6 string basses, but my old jazz bass is always the standard to beat, find a good old jazz or P bass and it will take some beating from any bass made nowdays, what do you guys think?
