Congrats young man. That's a real good deal. Fabulous exposure. If you like, I can give you some stage production tips on pyrotechnics, lasers, and fog machines.
I can see it now.......
Ladies and gentlemen, Miiiiiichaaaaaaaaaaael Aaaaaaaaveeeeeeeeerrry!!!!!!
First some fog, then your name spelled out in
lasers
, and then......
BOOM!!!!!!!
and you come up from beneath the stage.

Congratulations
Thanks VT , Sista Gurl Klub
Bro pyromaniac - I'm just opening
Translation: get on stage quickly, get off even faster, don't try to "show up" anybody, I am not who people came to see
And I'm ok with that because folks will see me who normally would not because I don't have the fan base she does yet.

I know, I know. I've been there. Just joshing ya!!!!
I've had one major secular artist not allow the artist that I played for to bring the band because they knew how hard we would wreck it. In the other case, they major artist's MD saw all of our gear and all of the sudden, it was "his" stage. He threatened to pull the headliner if we setup all of our gear. I mean how silly can you be? We played, but I had to use their drummer's kit. The promoter probably said too much and they got a little shaky. In that case, if you're good AND you have the sales, why worry about the local cats.
But you
will
have a growing fan base once you're done. You gotta do my tune man. I wish you the best of luck on that set man.

Oh I know you were playin.
Man I have known Crystal for like man maybe 15 years so we are cool. I actually don't think she knows I am opening for her yet. I gotta call her and see.
Anyway I am going to come with the best I can. I don't believe in giving God anything halfway. We just had a 4 hour practice today and we are only doing 1&1/2 songs. For me it is about making a good 1st impression. To be anointed and have excellence while also being professional.
What is your song... Will U B Ready? the rockish song?

I AM sleepy!!!
Ok so Here is what I learned form watching and being a part of a concert at th is level.
Crystal is a professional and there really is a big difference.
The venue was cool
The sound left much to be desired though
I managed to be on time for soundcheck and it went well accept my drummer was late( but not really his fault the changed the soundcheck time on us so the drumms were well not the best levels )
Being up first is a tough thing to do especially when most church folks come to see the headliner anyway
600 or 700 folks is alot more than 200 or 300. I was nervous I don't think I opend my eyes for the first 2 min I was on stage
The intro was Killin I could tell folks were NOT expecting it but in a good way.
I did When I think about You & Will You Be Ready was the final song
I manage to not talk a lot and just sing the songs( Manager told me not to talk too much and I actually listened this time) she was happy!
Then came Soulsound these cool ladies from Tacoma, WA think Clark Sister/ Nikki Ross.
They sang - Myron Butler - I don't even know ...( I forget the actual title) and A Mary Mary tune tht talks about Seattle rain and California Sunshine.....?
These ladies really sang with a fresh anointing it was not a show for them and that was a blessing
So Crystal - Well she moved quickly to the prophetic and shut it down and made it known she does not do spectator events. She went out inot the crowd with authority and took the atmosphere and like a true worship leader she dictated the course through the power of the Holy Ghost. She had command of the whole building. It was pretty impressive to watch( I was taking more notes than anythig to be honest)
I watched how the band followed and how they applied texture in th right places. The Aux guy was pure genius and layered in strings and various elements at the exact right time.
She had 3 main background singers all women her Alto is my manager) and she has a choir behind her RL Choral Ensemble they were real real solid.
Overall I learned alot and made about 150 or so new fans who signed my email list. I learned a lot about stage presence and commanding the attention of a mass audience.
We could not Video so I dont have anything to share accept photos so Sorry LGM but thanks fro the support and prayers leading up to the event.

My brotha, that, ALONE, will get you invited to open for someone else. Trust.
Ain't nuthin' worse than listenin' to a singer.
As a former pastor used to say.....SAAAANGGG!!
