My sister is an RN and has a lifetime of experience with acute bronchial asthma (she has it, her two children have it, and her 2 y/o granddaughter has it). I asked her if she could get a nebulizer for a little girl in my church, and she said that they are not prescribed to all asthma patients, so it depends on the particular patient.

Mine wasn't prescribed.  ebay is your friend.

I got recommended for an internship at ASCAP and the person wants to know if I can come to Nashville next month for an interview. She says if not, we can do it over the phone. Do you think I'd make a better impression if I made the trip than if I just did it over the phone? Or would a phone interview suffice?

Have you ever been to Nashville?  If not, I'd try to make the trip and stay a day or two, if possible. 

I think you try to do the interview in person.

Start school in October, had a job interview today, have a photo shoot tomorrow for a magazine or website (not sure which one), and I'm starting my voice lessons again, but it's somewhere else and she's EXTREMELY detailed with voice, stuff I've never heard of. Jesus is answering prayers................................ .. Life is cool.

If you really want this internship, go in person.  She made the phone interview a secondary option for those who CAN'T come in person which means she would really prefer if you came in person.

If someone else from your University made the trip out to Nashville for the interview and you didn't they would surely gain an advantage for making that effort.


Yeah, so if you REALLY want the internship you should go in person.

I was always taught the in-person interview gives you the edge.  People who do phone interviews with us, usually don't get the job.  It's just too hard to nail it when you've incapacitated more than half of your communication tools, and everyone else is using all of theirs.

MORE LGM ADVICE....

I'm working on some web design, and I can't figure out which of these two color schemes I like best. I'm going for something real dark and almost menacing. Which do you all think looks better? The black and white layout with subtle maroon color accents? Or the layout with bold maroon color accents? (Don't mind the titles and text. I was just making up random stuff to fill in blank spaces.)
