The main groove of the song is just playing the major scale of whatever key you're in.

Example:

In C#

Everybody, clap your hands....
C# - F - F# - Bb - C then repeat

I'm not hear my bass right now but that's 95% of the song!

Be Blessed,
J

just learned that song this week was practicing it last night.

seriously though, ween urself off the tabs. they stunt you as a player. and writing them are time consuming, so i'll write out something.

basically its
1(Db) - 3(F) - 4(F#) - 4(F#) - 5(Ab)
(instead of the 2nd F# you can hit the 7(C) also. i alternate for variety)

except for that "we worship you o' lord" that goes down its
6(Bb) - 5(Ab) - 4(F#) - 5(Ab) - 3(F)

the "singing our song" part is
5(Ab) - 6(Bb) - b7(B) - 7(C)
5(Ab) - 6(Bb) - b7(B) - 7(C)
1(Db) - 2(Eb) - b3(E) - 3(F)
1(Db) - 2(Eb) - b3(E) - 3(F)
thats done twice. slide into the first note or something to keep it from sounding bland since ur holding that first note.

hope that helps
For my God... let "Golden Axe" prevail.

bullit, you go to the 6(Bb) on that part? interesting. i'll try that later when im on my bass, see how that works. Could be something i can alternate with to add variety, since that is 95% of the song.

Yeah, bullit is right. That's how the song goes. 1-3-4-6-7-1.

Yeah, bullit is right. That's how the song goes. 1-3-4-6-7-1.

does anybody know what the actual chords are. i guess what i play is the minor 6th of both of those and thats why it works for me. i have something to add to the variety as not to sound stale.

Aren't those the actual chords?

Major - minor - major - minor - dim - major
