help need choir parts to God Favored me
« on: December 01, 2008, 08:54:17 AM »
I just need the parts when the choir sings yes

I am having such a hard time hearing exactly what they are doing

it sounds like they are singing GbBEb
and on the second yes they move to
GbBbDb

but then On the third yes when they move it sounds like possibly the whole sectioned moved or is just the altos moving?

any help would be appreciated

To be or not to be that is the question you anwer when you pray practice and read your word

I dont know if this is what they did on the record

but this is what I found sounds pretty good

             T  A  S
yes=         Gb B Eb
ye-s         Gb B Eb to  Gb Bb Db
ye-e -e s  Gb (Bb Ab Bb B) Db       The Gb and the Db stay while the alto moves
and to add a classical element you can resolve the suspension in the instrumental chord  when the bass reaches the the Bb

I dont know if this is what they did on the record but it works and I am getting tired of trying to hear what has become the bane of my existence,

(a little over dramatic I know)

ok I listened to this track one hundred more times
and i think i finally got it

GbBbDb yes
GbBbDb-FAbDb ye-es
Gb-GbAb-GbBb-BbB   ye-e-s

the third yes starts out as a unison and the altos and sopranos both move to the B from the Gb
