Anybody Use an Alesis SR-16?
« on: November 24, 2008, 02:58:26 PM »
I just picked up one of these. It's easy to use, but most of the sounds have too much reverb and aren't realistic. I've got a concert coming up where we might not have a drummer, so I might have to use it live. Any recommendations on kick, snare, and toms settings that are realistic and fit with today's gospel music?

You can go inside and adjust the tuning and levels of reverb.  I just mainly used it in a live setting for percussion.  Just program your basic grooves and you should be good.  Other than that, if ou have a workstation keyboard available, you may want to program that for your concert.
When you've done your very best, do even better.
