Did you take off the chrome saddle and pick up covers?  looks nice without them, it looks like there are screw hole down by saddle but cant be 100% sure.  If so do these hole bother you (cosmetically)?

Yeah, I took the covers off because they are in the way. Actually they don't bother me. The thing that bothers me is not having a scrunchy on the headstock, so my wife when and picked up a pack of 12 for me. Now I have plenty to choose from. ;D

whats with the scrunchy thing? i tried it when i first got my new bass a few years ago because so many guys on here were suggesting it, but it proved utterly useless to me. I took it off a long time ago and never looked back. i guess its a personal playing style thing?

It's all cosmetics actually. My wife always say I'm cheating on her with my basses. But they remind me of her and they are my girls, therefore, they must look nice when the go out in public. ;D

The scunci brand elastics, are geat when you get alot of involuntary string noise when you play.  The ability to mute those strings with technique would alleviate the need for them though.  If you can get just enough pressure on the strings from the scrunchies to mute them when they are not being played, then they serve there purpose.

I encourage everyone to get a Wii. The family is enjoying the fun exercise we get every night. BTW, I'm going to set my mom's up tonight. I'm putting bets on my 3 year old son, that he'll beat everyone in boxing. He's a beast already in 2 weeks.

u gotta be careful though. the Wii brings out the competitive side in some people who dont usually get involved with stuff like that. beware!! its scary! lol.

I still haven't opened my Wii yet.  I'm scared that once it is opened, my bass playing will diminish.

be like everyone else and play "Guitar Hero" or "Rock Band" and then swear you're an actual skilled musician. (drums excluded). lol.

It may be my age, or it may be my elitist attitude about actually being able to PLAY an instrument versus pretending to play one, or it may be my lack of coordination, but those games don't interest me in the slightest.

I haven't gotten much into them either... :-\  -- Although I considered the Guitar Praise, for the kids.
