The first CD is called, "Walk With Me Now". It's secular. It's gospel counterpart is "And You'll Fly With Me Later".... My biggest issue is he's pretty much saying if you don't do the things that are of God now you'll go to heaven later anyway. (At least that's how I interpreted it)
I'm a little unclear on how you got that interpretation... can you explain?
It sounds to me like "walk with me now and you'll fly with me later," says that if you follow me (Christ) NOW (and do the things that are of God), you'll spend eternity with me (go to heaven) later. At least that's what I got from it...

Anyway, in response to the general discussion... I agree with something Acts 2-38 said. I haven't listened to the song (I hate rap), but I have NO problem with ANYONE singing praises to the Lord. If he's rapping about living holy or something like that, then that's different. But if he's just rapping praise or honor to the Lord, he has every right, and God IS glorified whether His praises come from sinners or saints. May I remind the board that the Bible says let EVERYTHING that hath breath praise the Lord. It didn't say that we should wait until we are holy to praise Him and it surely didn't say that it's okay to sing praises to Him as long as we don't record and sell it until we are holy. Shucks, if that's the case, the music industry would have far less gospel CDs to sell.
You don't have to like it, but anybody (or "everything that hath breath") can praise the Lord.
