Here is a clip of Vinnie C with Tal one of the sickest female bass players that I have ever heard play. My dude Dwight told me about her a few years back after he went to Bass Day in NY. Vinnie is amazing as usual. Enjoy!!!

Tal is freakish!  I'm on my bberry so I can't see the vid.  But if it is the vid of her with the Jeff Beck trio at Crossroads then its a super dope vid!  

Tal is a serious student of the craft.  She's going lots of places and doing some super things!  I like her feel.  It would have been cool to see her on the GC Bass DVD.

Wow this girl is really blazin! I'm going to to have to check her project out! Vinnie's playing is phenominal as usual.

I wouldn't go that far... She's good. Really solid for the music she plays. However, she ain't no Rhonda Smith ;D.

You certainly right about that, flat.  I've experienced Rhonda first-hand on the Musicology tour with Prince.  But you certainly can't take anything away from her.

Good point, but I would call Divinity's style(plays with Vic Wooten and Beyonce for those who didn't know) and Rhonda's style similar but with Rhonda ahead in skill of course.

I think Tal & Meshell match up better style wise and it would be great if they teamed up for a show in the jazz/groove genre. Now I would pay a decent amount of money to see that happen.

Dude..  Meshell v. Tal?

NOT HAPPENING!!  Meshell would SOOO outstyle Tal!  I like Tal, but not many bass players, MALE OR FEMALE, are messing with Meshell.

Meshell has more swag than Tal 8), and she's more funkier, not takin nuthin from Tal tho, the girl is the truth!

No not versus, but on stage together. I think they would compliment each other well because they both groove like crazy. Meshell is still way ahead of her as far as feel and knowledge, but I would love to see what Tal, Meshell, R.Glasper and Chris Dave could do onstage together. Like I said I would pay good money to see that happen.

She's nice but I did not like the structure of that song.  Sounds like a bunch of random ideas that were never questioned.
