Well, I like the groove of the song (kinda sorta).  I wish the "Confession" would have been how he overcame Satan's attack or maybe how to overcome it.

I would have to agree this is worldly to me.

Gospel glorifies Jesus, tells about the good news, lifts other people up to think, "Yes, GOD will help me live holy." I just don't think the song did that.

One more tidbit, and I am not at all referring to anyone in particular. We seem to think nowadays that if it is going on, we should make it art or talk about it. The Bible clearly says the opposite, in the Book of Ephesians it says that it is shameful to speak of those things that are done by them in secret.

When we as saints talk about things or sing about them just because someone, somewhere is doing it, the Bible says it is shameful to us.

Just my twin lincolns, again, no offense, just an observation . . .

BBoy, Ephesians 5:12,to be exact is easily one of the most ignored scriptures in the bible these days.  You deserve a Huge 'You betta' preach' for quoting that.

And just for good measure, we should all read the rest of that chapter.  There's some other g-o-o-o-d stuff in there that too many of us have forgotten or just don't abide by anymore.

Praize you asked for our PERSONAL true feelings, so this is how I feel.

I just read through most of the thread and I agree with the majority. I don't like it. It has that old school "slow dance" feel. Kinda like when I was at the party slow dancing and rubbing up against a dude off Rance Allen's  gospel song "I Belong To you". Just as Rance's song, this particular song doesn't point me to Christ.  Don't care for  the lyrics either. The musicians are good, again, I was brought back to the house/garage Quarter Party days.

So in a few words...I'm not feelin' it. Not my taste. But, as some of the lGM'ers know, I don't care to much for the Clark Sisters either, so who am I.

I also see that reference was made to Eph 5:12, and  don't believe that verse can be fully understood without starting at 1 and continuing through at least 16.

What is your interpretation of the scripture quoted, and can it be applied to this scenario?

It didn't sound at all like dude was sorry for what he did and wanted to help someone else not get in the same mess.  Had that been in the song, then it would have been a different story.
