Will Obama sign this into law???
« on: January 28, 2009, 03:24:26 PM »
I thought that, since we have Obama, things were going to change.  Yes, there’s change…in the wrong direction.  My paranoia is kicking back into hi-gear.  Just like the Patriot act, this bill isn’t for foreigners.  It’s for us.  Are they about to legalize CAMPS for us?  And it was just introduced to the House - two days after Inauguration.  Now somebody explain to me how this is good for the American people!

I think you missed this part.....

`National Emergency Centers Establishment Act'.

From the looks of things, this is temporary help for displaced citizens only in the event of emergencies.  This doesn't mean they're gonna move us out of our homes and force us to move there.  I see it as a move to avoid another "Katrina" aftermath.  You may wanna read it again.
When you've done your very best, do even better.

Being that I live on the MS Coast, I see nothing wrong with the Bill.  Maybe I'm missing something,  but I see it as an attempt to keep us from going thru another mishandling of a storm.
