Wow, ok I'm on the way to GC to get my New Bass. Thanks guys. I also check MTD's site, and yeas they are the same bass.

I went to GC at lunch today. I was very impressed with the sound of the bass. I think with an electronics upgrade, these basses would sound real good.

ddwilkins, Im just cureous what modifications would you do to the electronics. I picked my bass up yesterday. Just wondering what people would do to this Bass?

I would got put all bartolini electronics in it, or a combination of maybe the obp-3 plus nordstrands, etc.

Oh ok, I Have Barts on my Lakland 55-02. Hum? The sound out of it now is cool for now.

I put all barts in my schecter and its night and day now.

No, just the schecter. I have the standard noiseless pickups and active electronics in my fender. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with my SX bass just yet. Maybe an audere preamp with some duncan pickups maybe.

Is there anyway to test out different electronics particularly Barts? What bass do they come standard on? I'm curious, I have never modded any of my guitars before.

Check out Sam Ash. I noticed the Lakland Basses they had in Stock had Barts on them. My Lakland 55-02 Had Bart on it when I purchased mine. I got a sweet deal off of e-bay.

Ibanez Soundgear basses, from what I remember, has barts in them. The MK1 pickups sounded good.
