Eric Gales is hands down one of the last heralded, underrated players around. Guy is a monster..if you don't want to hear the whole song, skip forward and listen from 6:00 on.

Man, I remember him from WAAAAAAAY back.  :D

He's still got a great touch and attitude in his playing.

He is incredible, and widely unknown.
He looks older than he is cause of substance abuse.
His whole family is nice on guitar!!!!

Why on earth does this not surprise me? I mean, what is it with touring musicians and drugs anyway? Its gotten to the point where i just have to ignore the person behind the music and focus on the music.

Where are all our guitar role models?

eric gales was actually slated to play Jimi in a movie years ago, but the drugs...

also, i've recently hear that Jimi's daughter had contacted him years ago to finish Jimi's work.. like the actual unfinished recordings. but...

Yes, Eric is Memphis born and raised. I saw him live down on the river years ago and knew he would go places but drugs stepped in.
