People shouldn't play with stuff like this the way the economy is.

You don't want to push people over the edge. Like they were saying on NPR this morning, a serious economic downturn could cause all sorts of geopolitical problems. Let someone make a public joke about killing Bush, and they would've flipped out.

This stuff has been around forever and although some things change, some remain the same. A caller on 98.7 Kiss, said that a large  majority of the Posts purchasers are black.  Want change? Hit them where it hurts....their pockets. Not to mention that the picture conjures up images of police slayings, as if to say "add Obama to the list of 'black monkeys' getting shot and killed". It's extremely disgusting and it ain't nowhere near funny. It ain't even on the same planet as funny.

They say that Obama didn't write the Stimulus Bill. But the average, dumb racist white person doesn't know that, and will see Obama, not Congress as the chimp. The cartoonist likely knew this, and knew he would get laughter from a racist crowd, which may have been who he wanted to appeal to.

And racism aside, it's also not in proper taste to laugh at the incident that inspired the cartoonist to draw a chimp being shot by an officer. I don't see anything funny about a woman having most of her face chewed off by a chimp. Anyone who does is sick IMO.
