BTW how is it possible you don't have ONE musician in your church or in your surrounding area?

Have you talked to other churches to find out if they have musicians to spare or know of any musicians looking for a place to play? I mean heck i would do it for free if you guys weren't so far away and it would interfere with my service. We have an abundance of keyboard and bass players in my church.

As for your question, no. Why? You'd have to ask my pastor. I think one of the reasons is he couldn't afford to pay anyone to play. The church has been in ministry for 7 years and God has supplied their needs (including VERY recently....yea, you know who I'm talkin' about  ;)  :D...oh sorry, I digress, just had to give a shout out  :D ;D).


I believe my pastor is now in the position to seriously consider having someone come in full time. It's such a slippery slope, though (having read and participated in the MANY discussion about it here on LGM  ::)).


Truthfully, Fenix, ain't too many cats around like you that would even make the offer, bruh.  :-\

Why does everyone feel that need to be paid to play. If I was talented enough to play I would do it for free.

Just asking a question. I played in bands before and everyone was wanting to be paid from the start and the equipment wasn't even paid for.

That's what the sound guy is for.  Bands these days don't stay together long enough to make that kind of investment.

Our goal has been to find someone who wants to be a member and share in the vision of the ministry versus just being an employee.  We have too many bad stories with finnicky musicians who jump for the highest bidder and sometimes without warning.  Also tracks are better than they used to be and they worked fine until I began learning.  Now I play and we use tracks also.  God gave the increase and we are pleased.  When you are not in a college town, musicians are hard to come by.

that keyboard specifically mentions  usb connections for mass storage.   Not sure if you took that away from this conversation.


So that means that you should be able to move your existing midi  files from a pc to a usb thumbdrive and play them in the keyboard that you originally asked about.
