Easter D'uits......
« on: April 08, 2009, 12:38:44 PM »
Anyone buy a new Easter Suit?

To me, it seems that Easter has been slooowly dwindling down.  Back in the day, Easter would be packed pack with people wearing there new suits.  Now, it doesn't seem like that (or maybe its just the church I go to) :)

My Aunt gave me some money to buy a new easter shirt 2 weeks ago...

...I spent it on an iTunes card.  :-[ :D :D

When I was little, I used to get a full suit, but now I go with maybe a blazer (I've been eyeing one of those velvet blazers) and a shirt or something. Our service starts at 6:00 in the morning...the saints gonna be too sleepy to be worried bout what folks got on anyways.  :D

Nope. I'm trying to save money.

Isnt it funny (or sad) how the people who dont normally go to church, show up lookin a mess on Easter? :D

but now I go with maybe a blazer

Boy, you need to see how packed our church is on New Year's eve. I mean packed to the point where there is no more seating capacity. I am like "Where have ya'll been the year round?"  ?/?

I've never did the Easter clothes thing. I'm a sharp dresser every Sunday. Besides, it looks like you have on new duds when you have more outfits then The number of Sundays in a year. ;D

No, not for the last 2 years.  This year I think I'm doing jeans and a blazer or maybe even a T-shirt

Nope,

I've gotten to where I don't care about that anymore for myself. I buy my daughter a new dress and trimmings, lol.

I have enough stuff in my closet with tags still on them that I could wear. I try not to get caught up in the "pageant" part of Easter.

Haven't done this since I was a kid.

No new stuff for me.  Haven't done it since maybe a couple of years out of high school.  That's because my parents aren't paying anymore, lol.

Our kids pretty much get new clothes or dress nice for Easter.  I'll agree it doesn't seem to be as big a deal as it was when I was a kid.

Idk.  I might do it because we're going to be in a new building, playing a new song, in a new musicians' area, etc.  It's a new beginning...I guess...and maybe I should dress in something new from head to toe.

However, ya'll know I hate clothes shopping with a passion that burns like 1,000 suns so I probably won't do anything.  :-\

Our new building is right next to a strip club so hopefully nobody comes in in their birthday suit talkin' 'bout some, 'come as you are'.

For instruments, electrionics, video games, and books (kinda.  Oddly enough I could spend all day in Borders but not in a library if I'm not at a computer lol) then I'm fine.

For clothes shopping?  Heck nah!

I have a few friends who have been planning their Resurrection clothes for weeks now. It's so funny to me. I'm like, dude, you're way too old for that.  :-\

Cosign! I will spend a day and a half at borders and best buy. I can't stand clothes shopping. I get more excited buying sneakers and some casual shoes. I wish I had a personal shopper.
