Seems it is taking longer for the First Family to choose a church than a puppy...

At first I wondered "why don't they just go church shopping/hopping?" but then thought about the security and logistics involved. They could try inviting different clergy into the White House or just watching services on TV or Streaming Faith on Sunday mornings...

It's a shame, but maybe he needs to do church by correspondence courses or something.

We know, if he DOES go to a church, it'll be a mixed church--one that represents diversity, and isn't preaching anything "dramatic".

Other religious groups may have a problem with it, but he should be able to continue to practice his faith while in office.

Sadly, they have to look at everything in an attempt to avoid the past scrutiny that's gonna come anyway.  Plus you know some folks are gonna start going or coming back to that particular church just because Obama goes there now.

The Obama's just need to find a church that teach the word, rather its Baptist, Cogic, Methodist, Non Denomination etc. It's not about denomination it's about the word. If they find an all black church that teaches the word,& continue to walk with Christ, than they shouldn't care what anyone thinks. Cause if God be for you, who can be against you. It's very hard to find a church home after moving to a new city, especially, when you had a teacher/preacher that brought the word every sunday & was a great example.

Right, but sadly we're not in that type of world--or country, for that matter.

If they chose an all Black church, then Caucasians will be talking. If they chose a Caucasian church, then we'd be talking--even me. They'll have to choose a mixed church, and one that is moderate in its teachings.

B3wannabe, alot of times thats our problem, we(blacks) worry about what other people say, especially white people. As Christians we should only worry about how God sees us & are we pleasing in his sight. I'll bet you(& i'm not even a betting man), that every President we've had went to an all or majority white church & never had to explain themselves. So why should Obama. So if the Obama's were to pick an all or majority black church & white folks have a problem, then that is there problem, not the Obama's. Most white folks don't like him(them) anyway, so where he & his family worship at won't change how they really feel about him(them). Of course if the Obama's were to choose an all white church, blacks would say something, cause we all know, thats not there roots & it would just be to appease white people, & to us(blacks) it would be a slap in the face.
