Help with a DX7 Pitch Bend
« on: November 21, 2009, 02:45:55 AM »
Can anyone help me with a problem we are having at my church with a old brown DX7?
We are using it to blend in sounds through MIDI, but it now has a pitch bend upwards
no matter what sound it is.  The wheel is centered, but there were some setting that
must have gotten changed.
What are the default settings for pitch bend?  The manual does not have any defaults or resets in it.
Any help would be a great blessing.

Thanks, DJ

It sounds like what ever you are using as the triggering device has some slider/control/parameter that is the culprit.Look in BOTH manuals for whatever control is used for pitch bend, and explore that.Might try Yamaha's website for links to older gear;their tech dept has been pretty good.Maybe shoot them an e-mail.

If that doesn't work, barring anything amiss in the DX,UNPLUG BOTH,re-initialize;then hook back up and see.
