Sorry I didn't put any info up.  Been way too busy.  I can't remember the last time I turned on my Motif.

Can you please figure that out for me? Sometimes i layer piano and strings and just want the piano to sustain while the strings dies away.

me too, my Mo6 is in the closet, I pulled it out but couldnt remember how to set up layering paremeters

I think what Fenix wants is pretty easy.  When you edit your performance, there's a parameter for that.  I think it's hold on/off.  You would turn it off if you don't want the sustain pedal to affect that "part" in the layer.
Disclaimer: My memory sucks.  Can't remember what I did yesterday let alone the last time I edited a performance in the Motif.

Oh thanks. I will dig around the Motif when i get to church. I haven't played the board in such a while since i started playing guitar for church. I miss the keys sometimes.
