...this thread is inspired by things that musicians can do on their off time away from their instrument(s) to enhance their minds musically and to see other people's lives and how music plays a role in it.
...a few weeks ago I was recommended by a friend of mine (a retired band director) the movie "August Rush". This movie really touched on the power of music and how people try to use musicians gifts for their own benefit. I really enjoyed this one.
...I'm going to go see "The Soloist" starring Jamie Foxx this weekend. Has anyone seen these movies? If so, tell me your thoughts... If you haven't, check them out.
