Word..... i wanted to know this also because i wanted to buy one as a smaller backup to my WT-550...ive heard all great reviews about these though.....

I play through the Shuttle 6.0. It is the truth, powerful, light, clean with a little grit if you want it (it has a tube preamp.) I have had no problem with mine. I play a Conklin 7-string through various Avatar cabs. Do not hesitate to buy one.

I have been using the Shuttle 6.0 for about 1 month at small to medium venues. I have used it with a variety of cabs depending on how much weight I feel like carrying. It sounds great with most of the cabs I have used it with. In my ears it tends to have some emphasis in the mid-range and high frequencies with the controls centered. I used it the other day with an Ampeg 410hlf(great low end) and the amp had headroom for days. I have been using a Lakland 55-02 and a Ken Smith BSR5M and the sound is different but sweet for both basses. Some say it is not as loud as the Markbass LMII; but my Shuttle is getting the job done and is becoming my favorite head. In fact, I may let my Ampeg SVT-IV pro go since it's not getting much playing time since the Shuttle arrived. Sorry for the long post; but I hope this helps.

Lol Thanks.. I think folks underrate the avatar cabs. My B212 and B410 can handle that low F# a moderate volumes. The Shuttle is a lovely piece of work.

IMO it stacks up nicely to the 550-T. The only benefit I see to the Eden amp is the ability to use the 550 with a 2 ohm load at 750 watts.But the 550 weighs about 20lbs. and costs more.

Yep, haven't had a chance (or reason) to play through one yet tho...I double up on bass and keybass at times so I'm def interested in having a second compact amp around for convience sake.

 I have 1 and I pretty much use it for everything ( except for my blues,and hip-hop gigs),because it's very light portable and although it's a little bright sounding, it's a real nice head unit,and besides a fellow bassist sold it to me for a real good price.

For keybass stuff, I was using an Alesis Micron...that's one powerful little synth! I've since sold it and use my Roland Juno-D now. It's bigger but still very light weight and I can use it for true aux work on keys if necessary.
