Prayers to the Tisdale family. News was released that he passed today. 44yrs old. It was advised that the cancer did spread after the amputation. Espn spoke of him very well this morning speaking of his love for God Family and music. It was a very nice segment.

I'm very saddened to hear this. He was in such good spirits after having the surgery and seemed like he was on the road to recovery. Man, this is very sad news indeed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Just heard the news. I just have to question some of these doctors. Thats exactly what happend to my father. They amputated his right leg & he died a couple of months later, cause the infection had already spread through his body.

I knew Wayman in college, he used to kill my school every year in basketball in the (Big 8 Conference at that time). He was saved and definately knew the Lord. His father Luis Tisdale was a Pastor. He has gone home to the Lord where I am sure he will have his part in the heavenly music that will be playing. His energy, infectious smile and his style of playing will definately be missed. I know when I first started playing bass, his cd was one of the first ones I bought and tried to learn every song......The Angels are grooving right now with Wayman....

I was just hanging out with him after the Bass Bootcamp in Reading Pa. We were talking about me coming to Oklahoma to do a concert with him at his church. He was a great man, A great bassist, And my friend, Blessings to his family...

A friend just txted me saying that Wayman had passed and I'm still in shock...he definitely knew the Lord so the angels and all of heaven are rejoicing! God bless his family, I'm sure this is a tough time for them...

He was an awesome basketball player, and musician. Above all of of that he was Great guy who loved the lord, and I'm honored to have had the opportunity to meet him. R.I.P. my brother!!

Tisdale was definetly a rare talent. You won't find to many people that excelled in two different professions, at a very high level as he did.

I was struck by the news that Wayman Tisdale had passed ... he wasn't a superstar but I know he was a real good ball player and, to my surprise upon learning, a real good bass player ... somehow, I also know he was a real spiritual man ... God Bless you Wayman ...

i was on the grind at work so i didnt even get to go online today, so im just hearing about this now. im speechless. i never wouldve expected to read such a thing today. may God give strength to the family and friends.

I am definately going to miss his sound. He is one of those artists that when you hear his music you automatically know it is him.

It is brothers like you and Wayman who have inspired me to be the best bassist and musician possible. I thank God for you brothers who have helped take bass playing to another level. By the way, you guys were having too much fun! Awesome!
