Congregational Song Patterns
I've already done a post on playing Congregational Songs. but here's another post. In this post I'm just gonna show the basic patterns found in Congregational Songs. I'll post the pattern w/ theory explanation, a chord version in C, then a list of as many songs that go with that pattern as I can think of. Now, this is how I play these songs. Others may play it different, but this is my way. I wish I had recordings, but I don't at this time, sorry.
Hopefully this will help someone out!!! :D

These are the main chords for this pattern. In between the chords, you can run bass lines to fill the space. If you have a bass player, then this is mainly what u need to play. If you don't have a bass player, you have to experiment with different bass lines until you find something that works. You can see the bass lines that I suggest be played in between the chords marked with the * symbol.

This is probably the easiest pattern of all the Congregational songs. And again, many of the same chords, bass runs, and even the Vamp are the same as in the other 2 patterns. I'm noticing a little trend here, don't yall?
