Eman7,
The first thing you can do is to learn good basic chord structure. Meaning not playing every chord in the root position but putting the chords where it makes sense if you want to or need to add the melody note at certain points. You don't have to be fancy just make sure it's clean with no mistakes (as much as possible we all mess up somtimes).
Next be sure to know the melody line of the piece, even if you don't play it all the way through, it can be a adiquate substitution if you forget a chord or two just play the melody line in doubles or octaves at that point.
Then learn to accent the rythmn don't always play all the chords directly on the down beat but move them forward a fraction. Accent the chords by striiking the chord one half step below or above the main chord.
Finally learn to chord in the left hand as well as the right, this will open up your chord possibilities, fullness and then you can adlib(solo) with your right hand at desired sections. Ofcourse you must practice and learn as many scales as possible forward backward and varied starting points playing all or skiping notes in the scale
remember the melodic melody is really made up of notes from the scales
learn the melody learn the scale learn the chords.
Lastly practice practice practice and you'll be fine
be blessed
