Have any of you heard of him, he's out of Toledo, OH. My pastor implored us to go hear him Monday Night, which is a big request considering that Monday night is a rare and treasured free evening for me. But once I got there... my GOD!
He was speaking at Pastor Vigil's church (I guess Bishop Pitts is his covering and mentor), he talked about "Order". The scripture he used was Psalms 119:33? Where it talks about "order my steps in your word so that my enemy won't have dominion over me..." I'm quoting from memory because I'm pressed for time, lol.
So anyway, he brought out how order is a universal law, like math, music, and gravity (those are the examples he used) it must be respected by believers and non-believers alike.
He explained that believers can pray and believe and be full of the Holy Ghost, but many non-believers will see more results than many believers on the whole because they respect the universal law of order.
He then posed several equations like the following:
Principles of Order + People of Order in the place of Order = order
Principles of Order + People of disorder in the place of Order = disorder
for the sake of time he proceeded to place "disorder" in each of the points in the equation and explained that an individual can practice principles of order, but joining with people of disorder or in the place of disorder can still result in chaos. God always calls us out of chaos and into order, like in Genesis 1. He talked about Lot (a person of disorder) who showed he didn't respect order by garnering the best for himself instead of deferring to Abraham's seniority, and how when Abraham separated from Lot, and got disorder out of his household, he made sure he never allowed that disorder to return to his household even though he rescued Lot from Sodom and Gomorrha, he did not welcome him back into his home. Lot's children became the Moabites and Amalekites who were consistently people of disorder who came against the children of Israel.
He went on to talk about Moab as the place of disorder that Naomi fled to in the time of famine, leaving Bethlehem-Judah (the House of Bread and Praise)
I can't explain it like I wanna and I gotta go back and get the CD because I didn't have cash, but basically the point was that our enemies have dominion over us because we too often lack order in all areas of our life.
The word was sooo rich and powerful... whew! If you ever get a chance to hear this guy, check him out!
