never tried the SD noiseless, but Dimarzio makes some great noiseless sets, They go from classic 50's strat to really hot stacked hb's...i'[ve neverhad a bad expereince with dimarzio, ever.

DiMarzio is an under-rated pickup maker. They have some great stuff out there.
Right now, I have a Twang King set in a Tele that just absolutely kills.

I just read that it doesn't work with a reverse-wound middle p/u anyhow... what's the point of having a Strat without the "quacky" positions available? lol

All pickups would have to be of the same polarity, so if you have an American Standard/American Series Strat or anything with a RW/RP middle pickup, you'll need to replace it otherwise you'll only get noise cancellation in the 1st and 5th positons.  A few years ago, there was an ad in Guitar Player for some company that was putting out a pickguard that supposedly was the silver bullet that all single-coil lovers were looking for.  This product allegedly worked with any single-coil pickup (even RW/RP) but after a couple of ads, they have not been heard from or seen again.
