Does it bother anyone else when your playing a song or during offering and people come up to you in the middle of it and want to shake your hand? Lol

How come during communion, the Deacon cant place the cup on the organ for you instead of making you take your hand off the keys to reach for it?

Fortunately I don't have that problem. Maybe it is because they pass the offering tray around instead of people walking around.

You have two hands, just play with one and grab the cup with the other. some of use dont do the two hands to play so both situations become a problem...and yes its an every Sunday thing... |

It would only be a problem if I were the only one playing, otherwise I don't care. Not a big deal and it's only for a couple of seconds.
I've actually had a minister come over to me and anoint my hands while I was trying to play. He meant well and I received it in a good spirit, but I was trying to play and it was a little hard to play with someone elses hands on mine.

Ya'll are Hilarious lol.. I hate when you're playing and they ask you a question and then want you to respond. I can't speak for nobody else but its hard to talk and play at the same time. Ditto the communion comment too. I'm kinda used to that one though lol.

I hate it when I have it in my mind what I am going to play and then a pew member comes up and asks for a special requests, when they haven't been to church in forver and won't come back after they hear their song.

That reminds me of the time I went to a student's house and the housekeeper had decided to 'anoint' the surface of the keys while polishing the piano. Slippery! |

LOL! I use to just fist bump them and keep it movin. What bothers me is when someone wants to shake my hand while im eating!!!  Now that really grinds my gears!!! |

Mostly cause I hate seeming like a rude person and when I don't extend my hand right away they tend to get offended. When I visit churches If I like the way the organist/pianist plays then AFTER service I will go to them and shake their hand and talk LOL.
