Sorry you missed it, Bennett.
We discussed Galatians 5, with jumps to Romans 6 and Hebrews 10. The discussion was on walking in the spirit vs. fulfilling the lust of the flesh, the fruit of the spirit, etc.
We never got around to Colossians 3, but the discussion questions were:
Colossians 3:1-17
1. In verse 1, we are told to seek those things which are above. Do you ever feel like sometimes we get off-track, off-focus and forget what we are here (on earth) for? How do you balance your own goals, plans, desires with the master purpose for our life on earth?
2. In verse 3, Paul tells the Colossians “for ye are dead.” What does he mean?
3. In this chapter, he is telling Christians how to live as Christians. What is the message in verse 11?
4. He seems to place a great emphasis on how to get along with one another, even giving us a strategy to help us co-exist as Christians. What is he telling us in verses 12-17, and why is it important?
5. As human beings, how do we go about accomplishing v13?
6. How is charity the bond of perfectness? (v14)
7. What does it mean to let the peace of God “rule” in our hearts?
