The dreamer lol
« on: September 18, 2009, 02:03:13 AM »
I had a dream Wed. night about a little boy (or baby, can't remember) in the hospital in terrible condition. I believe he was on life support or something. But anyways, I'm use to having dreams and what not. But I just realized that some dreams I can sleep right through them without waking up. Those dreams are mostly the ones that are 'just dreams'. And as some of you may or may not know I sometimes have chest pains. Like anxiety attacks. It happens alot when I'm frustrated or worry way too much about unecessary things. But it also happens when I have certaint types of dreams. And those are the dreams that interrupts my sleep. lol But when I dreamt about this little boy (or baby) it woke me up and it felt like my heart was literally about to pop out of my chest and I couldn't breathe. That was the worst I think it ever happened. I just laid back down and fell right back to sleep. It know I'm suppose to pray but it didn't dawn on me at the moment. By the time I calmed myself down I dozed off.

Sorry I'm on my phone and It'll only allow me to type so much. Lol but anyways, I don't think I really have a point. Lol but I remember my cousin saying that when she has those types of dreams her back starts burning. Lol so for those of you who dream, does anything weird happen to you?

No, but I used to always have dreams that I was falling, but I would always wake up before I hit the ground. It felt like I was really falling.....

Nothing like that has ever happened to me, but I'm not a dreamer anyway. I may dream two or three times a year. I used to dream frequently but now I don't.

Anyway, I tend to have tormenting-type dreams. Not demonic or in any way spiritual, but I'll dream I'm about to indulge in a delicious Thanksgiving-style spread, and wake up just before I put my mouth on the fork (almost always macaroni and cheese). When I wake up, my mouth will be watering and I'll be so frustrated. Like really upset. Or I'll dream there are insects crawling around me (now THAT'S torment!!!) or that I'm about to buy a really expensive pair of shoes that I want so badly, and wake up right before swiping my card. Then when I wake up, I experience real disappointment. And usually the shoes will be extremely expensive, really high heels, fly as all get out and not something I can find in a store. Oh also, my biological father was killed when I was young and I don't remember him at all. I used to dream of him a lot and right before I'd see his face or as he's reaching out to touch me, I'd wake up right before I see him or before I feel his touch.

And I think I told you about that dream experience I had in college. That thing was no joke. I remember it like it was yesterday - and it still feels real.

Uhhh Rue, who dreams about shoes and food? And I don't remember the dream you had in college. Nique I haven't seen The Unborn. Why you ask?

Well... I was trying to share a laugh about you dreaming.... Ok, the Unborn was a "scary" movie about a girl (college age) who was born a twin, but the twin did not make it. His nickname was to be Jonbee. Her mother dide when she was young and prior to her death she was in an assylum... but all of a suddent the girl started having dreams about her running and and she would see a dog with a mask on his face; she would hear things like "Jonbee wants to be born". Her dreams were interpreted to mean there could be someone from the past (who died) and somehow a baby was involved... Well.. she never knew she was a twin until her eyes were different colors... LONG STORY SHORT.. (cuz this is going no where lol) Her twin was mad he could not be born so he was going to do everything in his power to be born....

I thought it would be funny..trying to relieve pressure from you for a second...but.. I think i was unsuccessful! LOL!!!!!

The short version is that I dreamed I killed someone and was a fugitive from the law. It was a very, very intense dream; it felt very real and seemed to last the entire night.

The dream was so real that even after I woke up, I still thought I had killed someone and was in hiding.  My friends called me that morning (as they did every Saturday morning) to coordinate what time we were going to the cafeteria for brunch, and after taking a few seconds to decide whether to answer the phone (I was really afraid of who might be on the other end), I answered and told them I wasn't coming and that I would see them later on.  I was shaking and trying not to cry, and trying to figure out a plan... and this was all AFTER I woke up from the dream.  That's how real it was...

I thought I told you that story already... lol.

Oh, I know what movie you're talking about. I'm not into scary movies anymore. I use to be. But now they're just dumb. And no Rue I've never heard that story. You know I'd remember if you did. LOL

There anxiety attacks Britt. My husband has them. He use to run to the emergency all the time, lol, until he finally learned to control them. He thought he was having a heart attack.

I rarely dream also, at least I don't remember them. I remember dreams where I have been shot and was trying to get to a hospital but was ending up every where else, lol. I've had dreams where I was flying and when I realized I was flying I started to fall and would wake up... :-\. I could almost be aware that I was dreaming and try to will myself to fly, lol.

I don't normally have nightmares but there is one reocurring one I have. I'm in this house which a bunch of window and doors. Things (i don't know what, I just feel I don't want to see them) are after me. I can't get out of the house, lol. Everywhere I go it's to anther spooky room and somethings behind a door about to get me... :-\. I've had that one for years on and off. Don't know why......

I used to have dreams/nightmares about marriage and divorce.

I had a dream that I was being chased by a motorcyle gang of demons and my parents were black version of the parents from Jimmy Neutron.  The city we were running around was all silvery and bendy.  The sky always looked like it was going to rain.  I felt my heart beating really fast as I slept and I woke up with my heart racing.  I didn't sit up or anything I just went under the covers.  I may have prayed but I don't remember.

Most of my dreams now are about school, church, and my old house cuz that's where I spent most of my life. However, I always have this reoccuring dream about zombies attacking me. It never fails, it seems like every other week I have that dream. I survive the attack though cuz I'm too smart for them zombies, LOL.

Before I got saved, I always had that dream about the rapture and not being ready when it was time to go. I never want to have that feeling again.

I have dreams about being submerged in water wit all kinds of creatures, but I don't drown or get eaten. I have dreams of all my teeth falling out.

Confession night. lol jk
When I have a dream about food it's an indication I need to fast. I dream pretty must every night. I guess my imagination is not going enough through the day. :) I believe there is a message in dreams. Doesn't always have to be a message from God but the conscious letting you know what's up at times also. Sounds like some messages in a few of those dreams though. :)
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

T, dreams about your teeth falling out are supposed to mean death.... LOL, IDK what merit that has, but I had the dream about my teeth falling out and that's what they told me.  I think somebody did die around that time, but I don't know if the two things were related.

I go through spells where I dream, and then don't have a dream for a long time.  Last week was one where I had quite a few.  The most vivid one was where I was at my former first lady's funeral, that was weird, and I hope not true.  If it does mean something, I hope it means something else.

Also last week I dreamed about a job situation.  I wasn't even called for an interview for this one promotion.  I was more qualified for the job than the interviewees they did call.  I dreamed that I held my peace after they hired whoever they chose, and after it was all over, they promoted me without an interview or anything.  I was having a fit in that dream, lol!  I was so happy... a little disappointed when I woke up and it wasn't true, but maybe that was just a little encouragement for me to know that in God's time I will walk into what he has for me, so I shouldn't worry about these shenanigans and politics that go on.
