A loss in the bass world.........
« on: September 30, 2009, 02:36:03 AM »
I just happened to be looking for some videos on this bass and luthier, and in the process of viewing them I learned that the luthier David Minnieweather had passed a couple of weeks ago. The cause of his death is speculative at best as I cannot find an official report so I will refrain from posting "what I've heard" until I confirm it.  This man made some incredible instruments and his passing is a true loss to the luthier and bass playing world.  Those who own his instruments have a true piece of history in their hands.  The saddest of all is that today would have been his 45th birthday.  Please keep his family in your prayers.

Here's his website.  www.minnieweatherbasses.com

Yeah, I heard about this on TB about a week ago. I've heard speculations about his death, but no confirmations.
Keep God first and he'll do the rest!!!

Wow!!! Are you guys serious?! I had just been researching his basses a few weeks ago.  I don't know any of the speculation or hear-say but God rest his soul and my prayers are with his family...

I wasn't aware of who this guy was, but after researching his work,  I am now a fan. I am very disappointed to hear of such a loss to the bass community.
Rest?, Rest when you're dead!!! Right now there's work to be done.
