Nope, at this point, nothing's set in stone.  D&B's was chosen because of the variety that it offers.  There are plenty of eateries that are closer to the church- assuming that we decide to use my church.  I believe it was jivelong that also offered the use of a space in VA.  At this point, I'm totally open to ideas from those that are seriously considering coming.  From there, we can reach a concensus and move forward.

Okay, lemme put my cards on the table for all to see... lol.

1. I'm seriously considering coming.
2. I actually WILL come, if the final itinerary interests me and is posted in time for me to get a reasonably priced ticket (or coordinate a ride share with MM04 and TJ - or anyone else coming from the south).
3. Because this is an MD/DC/VA thing, even though I'm seriously considering coming and WILL come, I don't want to give any real input or ideas... it's not my thing. I'll just tag along if it's something that interests me... you know what I mean? I definitely don't want any plans changed to suit me.

I'm saying it like you didn't already know that... LOL.  I guess it's for the smart mouths like CSE and anyone else who was thinking what he said aloud.  ::) ;D

Let me emphasize that this isn't necessarily an MD/DC/VA thing.  It's open to any and every person that endeavors to come.  I simply titled it that way because I thought those folks would be the most likely to want to hook up on short notice.  I had no idea that we'd get interest from ATL, AL, FL, NJ and NY.  That's wonderful!  The more the merrier, IMO.

So, input is welcome from all seriously interested parties.  That way, we can include as many folks as possible.

If it's ok with everyone, I'm going to set a deadline of tomorrow night for a final decision on the date (which is looking like the 10th).  From there, I/we can narrow down the rest of the details.

This is funny.  This all started with a PM from me to SJ asking when he and I were gonna hook up.  And, as SJ would say...THIS.  LOL

:-\ :-[  Now I understand why everybody got #2 wrong on my FB quiz... LOL! (Did you take it, btw? I hardly ever see you on FB anymore).

Yeah, believe it or not, I'm not very social in person. I think that's why I am so "social" online. It's my social outlet.  :-\ :D :D In person, I'm very uncomfortable in crowds. I do well with small group conversations (like 1-2 or 3 or 4 people) but anything more than that and I'm going to sit by myself somewhere and read or get lost in my BB.  :-\

We're very much alike in this regard.  I HATE social gatherings...which is why I will be at the proposed LGM fellowship in spirit, but not in truth.   :D

And, as SJ RJ would say...THIS.  LOL

I won't get the check any.  I think the nurses here at Arkham are stealing my mail.    >:(

For all those who don't play man made instruments lets not forget that your voice is an instrument.  :)

I have to check out what my schedule will be for the week of 10/11/09 before I say if I can come or not.  If I have tests or a paper due that week then I won't be able to make it.  Besides, I wouldn't be playing with ya'll anyway.  I'd be watching and taking pics cause you know if there are no pics then it didn't happen  ;)

Not trying to knock on anyone's plans, but if folks are coming in from out of town, Alexandria is a better tourist attraction, IMO. We have Old Town, great restaurants, the Potomac River where folks can take a boat ride to Mt Vernon, monuments, etc., and it's just minutes to DC, and has public transportation. Not that a shed and fellowship isn't enough to make a trip worthwhile.........

I'd be happy to lend my space, but not a whole lotta room to jam. But, I can set up a drumkit, keys and some amps in the lesson room. I might be able to fit a small PA. But not as much room as a church.

Just throwin it out there.

This fellowship sounds awesome!

Change the date to some time in November.

Later for the shed, LET'S GO BOWLING!

D&B?  Let's go to Red Lobster!

I'll let you know where we should meet.

(note: there is a 0.73% chance I will attend)

Speaking of bowling, if there's a "Lucky Strikes" in the area we could go there!  (They're kinda expensive though)

Yeah, I'd rather not go to DC.

Do you or LL have a zip code for LL's church?
