I was going to quote the next line of the song, but I've been advised that doing so may result in the revocation of my Man Card.   :(

Ummmm... other than the spelling, what did you change??

The "notes" are do re mi fa so la ti do.

But the words are doe, ray, me, far, sew, la, tea, doe.

(And deer is spelled d-e-e-r, not d-e-a-r.  ;))

I will begin my first paying gig this week, and I don't know what I'm going to do.

I used to go to the gym on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, but this church I'll be playing for rehearses on Tuesdays and has church on Saturday (Adventist).

This is besides the P&W and choir rehearsals for my home church.  I've also been practicing more lately.

I have an Eliptical, a Treadmill, and a Power Tower at home, but it's no substitute for the gym.

If I was a single man, I'd go to the gym on Monday and Thursday, but I'm already away so much.  I can't neglect my family.

There just aren't enough hours in the day.   :(

Ok so first, congrats on the paying gig!!! To God be the glory!

It might take some getting used to at first, but you could still go to the gym on Saturdays after service. Adventists aren't like Apostolics... lol. They're in and out - usually done in 2 hours or less.  ;D And your Thursdays are still open for the gym (or if you want to stay home that day since you're now gone on Tuesdays, you can do the work out at home. Even though it's not the same, it's better than nothing.  :-\  And it's only one day...).

As for me, I'm drinking water as I type this.

Spiritually, I've definitely slipped here and there. I'm not praying or studying the way I used to, but that's finna change.  Financially, I just can't seem to get this shopping monkey off my back, but I'm working on some things for this month and next month that will push me a little closer to my goal. Physically... *sigh*

I'm still drinking water a lot (at least 2-3 bottles a day, usually without the Crystal Light). CHECK PLUS!
I'm pretty much eating one serving of vegetables every day, for the most part. CHECK!
I'm also taking multi-vitamins once a day. CHECK PLUS!!
I've completely stopped my workout. *sigh*

I'm going to resume working out... but my accountability partner ain't helping me... lol.  ::) :P :'( :D

Not THESE Adventists.  I was told their service starts at 9:30 and ends around 2.

 >:(

I have no plans for Monday and Thursday, but I can't leave off practice and I have to spend time for my wife and daughter.   :(

Congrats on keeping up your good eating habits.  Health is 80% diet and 20% exercise.

WHAT IN THE WORLD???? Are you sure they're Adventists or are you just calling them that because they're Sabbatarian? A 4-hour service sounds more like 7th Day Church of God or 7th Day Holiness or something... on a slightly related note, my homegirl's former church used to have service until sunset... so in the summer time, they didn't get out until 8:30ish. Sabbath School started at 10:00a, Sabbath Dinner was at noon, and service began at 1:00p.  She went there for FIVE YEARS!!!  :o  She left when the pastor died, but they still have services until sunset. Couldn't be me.

Anyway, thanks on the congrats. That motivated me a little bit. I think I might do some lunges tonight.  ;D

SO......

It's been 5 days since I had NO PORK, BEEF, OR POULTRY! Yesterday was pretty rough but it was over within 10 minutes. I really don't digest meat well, so I decided to eliminate meat. Milk and cheese too. I WILL however eat only shrimp and eggs. Eggs for my protein. I drink ALOT of water. I am REALLY liking this....so far. ;D

You can also go to GNC and get a protein powder.  The Banana Cream flavor from Optimum Nutrition is heaven in a cup.   :)
