You can also go to GNC and get a protein powder.  The Banana Cream flavor from Optimum Nutrition is heaven in a cup.   :)

Oooohh I've been looking for some kinda protein supplement. I may have to try it. I'm on their site now. Have you heard of any protein pills?

Never heard of Protein pills.  Nuts are a good source of protein also.

RJ, how's the 7th Day gig going?

Congrats, MM04!!! I'm proud of you.

Well, I fell off the wagon. But I'm going to get back on this week.  The good news is that the water consumption has become a bit of a habit now, so I'm still drinking at least one bottle a day (which equals 3 glasses), sometimes 2 or 3.  I'm doing a lot better with the vegetables, usually eating at least one serving per day. I'm trying to make a habit of getting the dollar menu side salad from McDonalds when I want a snack, and I try to find ways to incorporate a vegetable into whatever pasta, rice, or potato dish I'm eating. Even with those efforts, I'm still not 100% at my goal of eating at least one serving of veggies per day. I think right now, I have a serving about 4-6 days a week.

I'm taking a multi-vitamin just about every day (sometimes, I skip it because the pill is way too big for me and it makes me gag or vomit and I hate that feeling).

I'm going to resume my exercise routine as soon as I get some energy back. I'm on a consecration which includes no caffeine, and it is really taking a toll on me. I've slept an average of 10-12 hours a day/night since it started. Hopefully, my body will adjust in the next few days and I'll be able to carry on with life. As for now, I go to bed as soon as I get in the door, way too sleepy to be working out.

I can't do powdered drinks, but I'm going to try some eggs to add protein to my diet while on this fast. I'm really trying to live healthy from here on out.
When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.

Makes two of us.  Before Christmas, I bought a Weider Home gym.  I didn't use it much before the holidays, but since New Years day, I haven't missed a day.  Combine the exercise with the Daniel fast that my church is on, and I'm already losing weight.  I'm looking forward to regaining the old energy levels and stamina.

I bet if you force yourself to eat a apple for a few days you will start to eat crave more fruit. Why take a whole multivitamin. Break it. Your body is not going to absorb it all anyway. Usually good multivitamins have way over the daily allowance.

Thanks!!! I feel pretty good. I'm really shocking myself....

IRT to the eggs...I made some AWESOME deviled eggs last night. They really help as protein. I also had caesar salad a hour later.

I like how you randomly threw that in.   :D

It's different.  They do a LOT of hymns.  Those rare, obscure, limited edition hymns.

Still it's nice.   :)

Yeah, me too.  :-[

Thanks to the help of a friend, I had gained about 10 lbs, but over the last week or two, I've pretty much lost it all. I'm thinking about getting back on a pill I used to take that helped me gain significantly.

I make good deviled eggs too! LOL! I LOVVVVE deviled eggs. I think I'm going to start boiling two eggs every morning and eating them with my breakfast. I love boiled eggs, so it's just a matter of getting up 5 minutes earlier and remembering why. LOL  :D

I eat apples quite frequently. Fruit isn't my problem at all. I love fruit! I just ate a whole pint of raspberries the other day, and wanted more when I was done... lol. I just hate the green stuff.  :-[

I don't like breaking the vitamins because when they are broken like that, they make you taste it even more... and I hate the taste.  :-[

;D  Yeah, they call me the Queen of Random.  :D :D :D

Yeah, SDA is where I learned my all-time favorite hymn "Does Jesus Care?"  I had never heard it before, a friend of mine was doing the music for his friend who was recording a CD. They couldn't believe I had never heard that hymn before... lol.  She did a remake of Does Jesus Care and had me to' up in the rehearsal... it's been my fave ever since.  Anyway, yeah... they do a lot of obscure "limited edition" hymns.  :D

Well as of tomorrow, I'm cutting out all meats. If and when I get that super urge to eat meat, I'll eat a piece of skinless chicken breast. I'll be eating a lot of vegetables and fruits. I have a workout accountability partner now which is very much needed and a friend who has already started eating healthier.

My mind is made up. I'm excited about it and for the first time in my life I'm so serious about this and have a good feeling that I can do it :)

I'll keep you guys posted :)

YAYYYY! I'll be praying for you.

My 3rd day was HORRIBLE!!! LAWD!!  I was like bump this! I went through though.

But I feel great now and I feel like I'm challenging myself. It's been a week now. No meat at all. I even feel lighter.

For ME...I don't digest it well at.all. I've even eaten half of a burger...and it still bugs me. You may not know but I have GERD and acid reflux. I have tried EVERYTHING. Cutting back, cutting out certain foods. After a week of no meat...I have yet to have any kind of reflux. Not saying meat is what caused it. I'd much rather cut out meat than to deal with the pain and regurgitation that reflux brings.

Ok.  The decision makes perfect sense for you then.

Not for good skizo. I'm actually trying something a friend of mine has been doing the past couple of weeks and also my brother. I've been dealing with some female issues and they said that cutting out meats, fried foods, the soda etc. will help me out a lot. What the doctors been doing hasn't worked in the past 3 years so I figured I'd give this a try. It won't hurt to try it. I just want to overall eat healthier and be healthier. I'll be in the gym starting Monday too :)    Transformation here I COME!!! :D

I've been eating more fruit and veggies. I started drinking unsweetened tea. I'm cravings for sweets are nit as strong since I've been eating fruit again. I made a big pot of homemade vegetable soup. I'm going to make more soups this week. I will freeze of them for next week.

MM04 have you tried eating the yogurt with probiotic? It's supposed to correct disgestion. I've figured out for me eating too much bread, rice and meat kinda slows things up. :D Also makes you feel bloated. I've been eating somewhat healthier. I've cut back portion sizes. I may eat a large at one meal. I noticed that I'm hungry after work when I eat smaller breakfast and lunch. Normally I eat three meals even though after breakfast I'm not so hungry. Too much grits will get you. :)

I was getting heartburn a few weeks back not sure why. It maybe the sodas.  I crave soda in the winter for what ever reason.

Well let me rephrase what I said lol, Doctors have been giving me certain pills that haven't worked. One doctor suggested that I change up my eating habits by cutting out the things that I mentioned and working out more. My coworker who has been doing this for the past 3 weeks has a lot of the same issues I've been dealing with and she suggested it to me as well...it's worth trying :)
