I use to add strawberry crystal light to sparkling water...it did taste like strawberry soda.
I'm trying it now... not the sparkling water but the lemon and ginger. I used lemon juice, and then I didn't have a garlic press to get the juice from the ginger, so I just peeled a couple of pieces and through them in there. It actually does have a hint of a ginger ale type flavor. Makes sense, I guess. It's not bad at all.
Ginger also is said to help with heartburn/reflux, so maybe at least it'll counter the acid in the lemon from bothering me.
Another update, is I've been catching up on my medical health. Since i started having these minor problems (they really are minor if I work on them now), I started loathing the doctor and stopped going altogether. That wasn't the right answer, and lately I discovered that I really needed to find a doctor that I can work together with as a team on my health. I'm so passive about stuff like this, so if I don't like the way they talk to me, or just don't have a chemistry with them, I feel like it's me and stop going. I recently realized, that I am paying good money for this service. Doctors are a respected well paid profession because you and I pay them! We hire them to serve us, so if I don't like the Doctor, I can fire him/her!
So that's what I did. I found a new doc, and so far so good. He's very thorough, and explains everything to me instead of acting like I'm too stupid to get it (that's what my first doctor did), and just making decisions for me without discussing anything with me. He does all the exams and tests with painstaking attention to every little detail. He's brought up things that I've had for years and no doctor has ever even thought to address them. I'm so happy with him. He's from the middle east so he has that direct approach to everything, he doesn't really sugar coat, but I like that. I go back in three months, in which time we will measure my progress and modify my course of action. I'm very happy with him. (I said that already, but it bears repeating, lol).
