Yayyyyyy T-Block! We're glad to have you. Make sure you grab an accountability partner (you may want to choose one based on your goals). LL will probably be happy to help.
As an
update of my goals: I'm really proud of my life change. I set out to change my lifestyle and that's what I'm doing.
Water - I now drink water daily, as a habit. When I'm at restaurants, I order water with my meals. When I'm at home, I drink water with my meals. I drink water pretty much all day, every day. On the rare occasion that I feel like having sweet tea, I indulge myself - but those moments are few and far between.
Vegetables - Although I'm still not eating vegetables the way I should, it has become a habit to order a salad with meals when I eat out. (I'm still finding small ways to add veggies where I can, like on pizza, sandwiches, etc. I know that's not big, but remember, it lends to my lifestyle change because before, I would never put a vegetable on anything!).
Skin care - I'm taking much better care of my skin, too. Although I don't see much of a change, two people (my sister and a co-worker) have asked me what I'm doing and said that my face looks "good." That's huge!
I did gain 10 lbs, but I recently learned where that weight came from (so embarrassed about that), and although I'm not going to try to shed the extra pounds, I
am going to be conscious from here on out.
Exercise - I slacked off on my workout, but I still walk 1 mile a day, faithfully. Sometimes more. My legs are HOTNESS!!!
Financial - I have my money directly debited from my checking for savings and investments. I don't touch it, so all is well in that area. Still need help with this shopping addiction, but I think it's an emotional issue, so I don't really know how to fix it.
Spiritual - Hmmm. I'm gonna give myself a C on this one. Both my prayer life and my study habits have slacked off a bit. That's disappointing since I was doing very well in this area.
