I took a detour from my MMA workout to work on strength, but now I'm back on the MMA workout and it's kicking my butt.

Remember people:  Fitness is 90% diet and 10% excercise!  Eating crap and working out is a sure way to NOT get results.

I think its closer to 50/50. I tried both, exercising without dieting, and dieting without exercising, and I couldnt any real weight until  I did both. That's for me personally though.

Both are important, but diet is far and away more important.

Exactly right.

Exercise is vital to weight loss, but it isn't necessary.  There are tons of people who lose weight simply by cutting out soda/soft drinks/McDonalds/etc and adding veggies and more water.  Weight loss is all about running on a caloric deficit.

If you keep eating McDonalds, pizza, candy/cake, and drinking a ton of soda/soft drinks and try to add exercise you'll get practically no results.  You'll workout, burn a ton of calories, get hungry and go buy a large pepperoni pizza.   :D

Nice thread, I've working out and running more. Had to cut out the junk foods and the late eating. Over all having support is a great thing if you are a person that needs a kick once in a while.

Ok, that's it.

Starting tonight, I'm going to resume doing lunges and push ups. This weekend, I'll go and get some more dumbbells since I have no idea where my 8lb bells are.

I still don't know what to do about my flabby stomach, but maybe somebody will tell me something... (not crunches, though).

I have a co-worker that does stairs every day (P2 to 22st floor - that's 24 flights of stairs). I might meet her at like the 10th floor. LOL.

My focus is still my arms, legs, and stomach. What should I be doing?
