LOL!!!  How did that happen?! Geez.

I love tilapia so I'll get that and I'll get a small piece of salmon. I hope I like it.

Make sure it's wild caught and not farm raised. The farm raised tilapia are fed a corn diet, while wild caught fish are fed the way God intended for them to be fed (greens and other fish). The result is that farm raised tilapia can have as much bad fat as a doughnut. (In general, wild caught fish of any kind are always better for you than farm raised fish, since God's way is the best way).

Here's a source, but there are zillions of articles out there on the subject.

Quote
The tilapia served as the “catch of the day” in restaurants across the country is usually farm-raised. And researchers  Wake Forest University found that farm-raised tilapia has more omega-6s than bacon, doughnuts and hamburger.1

Instead of being good for your heart, it’s flooding your body with inflammation – the main culprit behind heart disease! And on top of that, it’s pumped full of gender-bending hormones!

Quote
Always Buy Wild-Caught Fish. Farm-raised fish are simply fed an unnatural diet and become diseased and inflamed. The potential health risks could cost your body in the long run.

Because farm-raised fish don’t have lots of room to swim and are prone to disease, they are often given antibiotics as well as preservatives and commercial dyes to give them a healthy color.4

For example, farm-raised salmon is not the nice pink color that you would see with wild salmon, so it is injected with dye. At your supermarket you will often see “color-enhanced” in small print under the farm-raised salmon sign.

I really need a ladies' thread to pose this.  But I'll do my best with what I got.  :D

Do you ladies find that your eating trends vary with the monthly calendar?  If that wasn't clear, I give up and won't ask the question.

I understand exactly what you're asking...and, clearly, I'm not a lady; so, well done.  :D

Then she screams at you for calling her 'fat' and storms away.

Wow, who knew guys could answer this question better?  Go figure.  I never noticed it until I started really trying to do this right.  I'm breezing along with no problem at all and all of a sudden... BAM!  Then I started thinking, and it all made sense.

Yet holding on today, though...

Definitely. UNQUESTIONABLY.

But for me, it may be a bit different. The week leading up, I'm a hog. I just want any and everything sweet and bready. :D Cakes, cookies, donuts, pastries, croissants, bagels, muffins, rolls... That's all I want.

Then, the week of, I barely have an appetite at all. First three days, I may eat 1 meal a day, if that. I'm also craving chocolate big time. After that, it's back to normal.

And I know this isn't part of the question, but since we're on the subject - I simply cannot control my emotions that week at all. I'm just a sack of tears and yelling and depression and moodiness and pity and insecurity - usually eased slightly by chocolate and wine (sorry, I know how you feel about that).

Ok, so far from what I can gather, the day before and the first day are the ones for me.  I was slightly moody yesterday, today I think I've been okay.  But my unit had chocolate, lol (which I counted in my points).

I'm definitely pumped again. Time to get back on my grind and not let all this hard work go in vain. Month 4, can't stop now!!! ;D

SN: I actually worked out during my vacation this time. Wish I would've found the gym sooner, but I guess the swimming made up for it.

Do it bro!

What do your workouts look like?

Rough morning for me.  I struggled to get out of bed, but eventually left the house @ 5:25am.  My workout wasn't a great one.  My strength was way down.  When I tried to bench 185 and got only 1 rep I knew it was going to be a tough workout.   :D

I got through though.  Breakfast: Turkey Bacon, eggs, and cheese on a whole wheat roll with a Perrier water.

I'm glad you changed it up 'cause I was getting tired of your regular breakfast and I'm not even the one eating it. :D :D :D

OAN: I thought about you this morning. Was up 4:15a and never did go back to sleep. I was like hmmmm, who is up praying this time of morning? LOL

@T-Block: CONGRATS on all your hard work, and most of all on being consistent and hanging in there! Keep up the good work.

Hey, Hey, Hey!

I made a good comeback over the weekend.  I even went to BJ's with my bestie and had the Sesame Chicken Salad (awesome salad, btw).  I was able to look up the points online.  I had water to drink (YAY!)  That was an accomplishment, because I usually have the Chicken Limone, which is way more fattening.

So, I'm coming up on my first milestone this week.  As a reward, I settled on a mani-pedi.  I have a friend who loves doing the mani-pedi thing, so I called her and she is excited about it.  She is now in cosmetology school to become a manicurist herself, so she says I can come to her school and get the whole treatment for 10.00...  I'm looking forward to it.

I was talking to another friend of mine and just sharing some of this process and how the change is more than just physical, and she got all excited and was telling me to write a book about it, LOL! ! !  I actually believe I will at some point.  It's be awesome to help someone else make this journey.
