Water has no taste. My mom says that even as a baby, she had to put maple syrup or honey in my water to get me to drink it. Also, bear in mind that I don't drink a lot anyway. I don't drink with/after each meal, and I rarely, if ever, get thirsty. Before becoming health conscious, on average, I would drink one cup of coffee a day, and I may drink about 8 oz of sweet tea, or maybe nothing else after that morning coffee.So it's not just the fact that I don't like water, it's also that I'm forcing myself to drink when I'm not even thirsty.
Luckily for me I LOVE water. However, this first Sunday my mom made her famous sweet tea, and it was PAINFUL not getting a glass or 4. And I hate giving up my Hawaiian Punch and lemonade, but I'ma stick wit it.Dang....that's all you could do, 4 years? Where's your will power?I kid, I kid. To be honest, I lost all motivation to lose the 10 lbs I wanted to lose, and to watch my diet. I tried on some clothes yesterday and looked stunning in them. LOL! Okay seriously, I am still serious about exercising and eating right (because I believe that's key to clearing my skin, and because I believe it's my responsibility as a woman of God to take care of the my temple)... Some friends at work are doing a Biggest Loser competition and I'm in on it. I don't expect to win because my goal is to tone, not to lose that much. But I'm looking forward to all the exercising we have planned. We're doing a "Race to the Top" Challenge today at 11:30 (taking the stairs from the lobby to the 21st floor), but I told them I'll do the "Crawl to the Middle" challenge and go from Lobby to 10.
What else is new?

I would just like to announce that not only did I make it to the top (21 flights of stairs), I actually WON the race to the top! I was the first one to make it.
Me too. I've been in the gym like crazy and eating good for the most part, and I'm still not losing much weight. I guess I need to cut out more sugar.
I was going to mention that the other day when we were chatting. Cut out both sugar and salt. That alone made a huge difference for me.
Yeah, I was still drinking "juice" with dinner, though I have water with breakfast and lunch. I also drink tea and coffee sometimes with sugar.
Try switching from sugar to splenda...
