So I've had my Jack Lalanne juicer for almost a week, and I've used it every day. Every drink has been a hit except this morning, lol. I bought the juicer because I found out that beet juice works wonders for blood pressure. I started out ordering beet juice on amazon, but for the cost of a few shipments I realized I could buy a juicer and fresh beets for way cheaper. I also was pleasantly surprised to find out that the fresh beet juice (with a couple of apples and mint) tastes way better. I actually love it.
So anyway, I usually make my beet cocktail in the morning and one more veggie/fruit drink that I take to work with me and drink later in the day. All of them have been really good with just a few minor things I discovered, like the taste of cucumber is pretty strong and overpowering, but it's still pretty good with oranges or apples.
This morning, I tried to spice up my beet drink. One of my friends told me it's really good with a carrot in it, so I threw in a carrot which probably wouldn't have been bad, but then, I also love the taste of ginger in my water, and I thought it would add a little flavor to my drink. It probably would've been okay, but I think I put a little too much. That joint was skrong!

I drank it down, though, after I added a lemon to try and doctor it up. After I got into drinking it, it wasn't bad, just the ginger is a really powerful tasting root. I'll need to tone it down a lot next time, lol.
