I gained a few pounds in the past couple of weeks, but I got it back down, so now I've lost like 18 pounds. I gotta cut out this fast food, but it keeps calling me!

But srsly, I have the same problem.  I'll be doing great then I'll have one monumental collapse.  After I get finished eating everything that isn't bolted down I feel so bad that I tell myself "Well, I already messed up.  I might as well have some desert."

I have not eaten, nor desired to eat, any fast food since that pink slime story. That just did it for me. Turned me all the way off.

OAN, I'm 13 lbs heavier than I was this time last year. I put on a pair of capris that I haven't worn since last spring and I hasd to take the safety pins out the waistline. :D

Other than my morning coffee and occasional glass of wine, water is the only beverage I drink, so improvement there! Yay me!

Also, I had 2 servings of fruit today and 2 servings of veggies with my lunch. :-) I can't say I'm doing great with the veggies and fruits, but I am better than I was.

I'm the opposite, I weigh myself everyday. I gotta cut it down to once or twice a week though.

I'll add this, I was over 300lbs this tiime last year, now I'm way under. So, even if I don't win or have a big number, I'm loving my progress.

I weigh myself fairly frequently- not quite every day.  It motivates me, especially when I'm seeing progress.

That's awesome, man.  Keep it up!

Once a week.  Your weight will fluctuate from day to day depending on how much water you're retaining and how much food you eat.

Weigh yourself the same day every week in the morning after you wake up and pee (can I say 'pee' on LGM?) and before you eat your first meal.  This will mitigate some of the variables.

Weighing yourself everyday is only really helpful if you tally up your daily totals and divide by 7 to get the average.

So after gaining back all but 5 lbs, I hopped back on the wagon.  I got a health master and I'm on the smoothie/soup kick.  I LOVE it.  I get all my fruits and veggies daily, and (as you can see in my avatar), I've finally perfected my morning beet smoothie.  The beet is a phenomenal vegetable, and is especially good for regulating BP, so I've been trying different ways to incorporate it into my day.  I was using the juicer, but a lot of the valuable stuff is lost in the pulp catcher.  My first smoothie was really thick and hard to stomach, but now I got it down to a science.

I've been researching the benefits of a vegetarian diet, however, I'm not convinced that I want or need to completely give up meats.  But I don't currently have a lot of meat in my diet.

PWA!!!  But it really is.  Read up on all the stuff beets do for your heart, liver, etc.... it's exceptional.  I actually like the flavor of the beet, it just has to be tempered with something else.  I looked at various recipes and altered and experimented with them.  The one that really works for me is this:

2 oranges
1 large beet
1/2 lemon
1 oz honey
Ice

All that blended together gave me about two 24 oz servings.
