Going to the gym after work instead of in the morning today.  Not really feeling it, but I'm going to push through.

Shot ball for two hours with my sons yesterday. I'm a little sore, but I'm glad I didn't overdo it like I normally do.

Um... ain't jogging free?

I think I'm going to go look at some walking shoes (sneakers) at lunch.  I need a new pair.  The ones that I have rub my achilles and it's given me a subliminal aversion to walking.

I love the My Fitness Pal app.

When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.

I hate the My Fitness Pal app.

:D

Okay, so today I finally put in all my personal info and goals. First of all, it told me that I need to consume 1200 calories a day.

*blank stare*

Not happnin, Capn. I'm gonna try to change that to 1500-1600.

Anyway, after you load all your food and stuff in, the app tells you "if every day were like today, you'd weigh ___ lbs in 5 weeks." Which could be pretty motivational. But why did mine just tell me "if every day were like today, you'd weigh ___ lbs in 5 weeks" and the "blank" was the exact same thing I weigh today? I felt like she was getting smart with me. Stank heffa.

So the lesson I learned today is that counting calories really shows you why you're overweight. Somehow, I managed to eat 1700+ calories today and that was after cutting things out because I was counting! I had no idea I ate so much, but now I understand why I've gained so much weight over the past year. As I've said before, I'm not tripping over it. I just don't want it to be out of my control. If I hadn't been counting today, I would've had two ribs instead of one for lunch, and some Girl Scout cookies for snack. I cut all the extra stuff out, and even measured my rice to the perfect serving size, and STILL came out way higher than I would've expected.

Well, now I see why I've been gaining weight uncontrollably. I'm thinking if I had eaten today as I normally do, that app probably would've told me I'd be weighing [current weight + 10 lbs] in 5 weeks. :D :=[ :'(

Lifestyle change starting... NOW.

I stepped on the scale this morning.  I've gained 20 lbs.  Time to get back on my grind.

So, I purchased a new pair of jeans at my "old" waist size. Come to find out, they're a bit...big.

I don't think I'm quite ready for a lower size just yet but I believe I'm on my way.  :D

I guess I should clarify: I've gained 20 lbs. since reaching what was then a new low a few months back.  I weigh myself pretty frequently, and I saw an upward trend, but it has really escalated over the last few weeks.

Major fail these last few weeks.  Gained weight like crazy.

I live by a marina with a 2.4 mile walking trail around it.  Me and my friend have been trying to set aside time to walk it together in the evenings, but our schedules are just not really compatible.  I'm going to have to figure out how to fit it in my schedule, and just go by myself.  Music on the headphones should be all I need.  I may have to get up earlier and go do it in the mornings.  My evening schedule stays pretty full.
