I hate the My Fitness Pal app.

Okay, so today I finally put in all my personal info and goals. First of all, it told me that I need to consume 1200 calories a day.
*blank stare*
Not happnin, Capn. I'm gonna try to change that to 1500-1600.
Anyway, after you load all your food and stuff in, the app tells you "if every day were like today, you'd weigh ___ lbs in 5 weeks." Which could be pretty motivational. But why did mine just tell me "if every day were like today, you'd weigh ___ lbs in 5 weeks" and the "blank" was the exact same thing I weigh today? I felt like she was getting smart with me. Stank heffa.
So the lesson I learned today is that counting calories really shows you why you're overweight. Somehow, I managed to eat 1700+ calories today and that was after cutting things out because I was counting! I had no idea I ate so much, but now I understand why I've gained so much weight over the past year. As I've said before, I'm not tripping over it. I just don't want it to be out of my control. If I hadn't been counting today, I would've had two ribs instead of one for lunch, and some Girl Scout cookies for snack. I cut all the extra stuff out, and even measured my rice to the perfect serving size, and STILL came out way higher than I would've expected.
Well, now I see why I've been gaining weight uncontrollably. I'm thinking if I had eaten today as I normally do, that app probably would've told me I'd be weighing [current weight + 10 lbs] in 5 weeks.
